Social-distancing, self-isolating, shielding – all things which can mean being alone. Loneliness is never nice but at a time like this when there are so many extra things to worry about the effects of loneliness are much worse.
If you, or somebody you know, is alone and would benefit from a chat we have a team of lovely volunteers who will be very happy to regularly phone them to provide company and make sure they are okay.
Just fill in the form on our Need Help page and we will get in touch directly.
What’s our aim?
Operation Good Neighbour Hoveton and Wroxham aims to provide a safety net for those in our community who are self isolating. We will use the Good Neighbour scheme to coordinate volunteers and arrange for the delivery of food and medicine to those who have no other means of support such as non-isolating family or friends or other support groups.
Who are we
This operation is set up and run by the Wroxham and Hoveton Good Neighbours Scheme to assist in coordinating the local community response to the Corona Virus. It is supported by the local Church, the local Councillors for Wroxham and Hoveton and the Parish Councils of Hoveton and Wroxham. The Wroxham and Hoveton Good Neighbours Scheme is part of Community Action Norfolk
